(More customer reviews)This soup has a decent flavor, of split peas and potatoes. It is however, a bit too salty for me, but I'm not a fan of salt anyways. The texture is the worst part, and can almost be described as 'gelatinous'. The soup is thickened with a bit too much Potato and corn Starch. I like thick soups, but prefer if it isn't goopy.
The best part of this soup is the nutrition. It contains a whopping 14g of protein per box! And only 200 calories (100 per serving)!! Because of this alone, it is my favorite lunch at work, and can last me until dinner without being high in calories. I will continue purchasing this.

(More customer reviews)I have never had such delicious bean soup. I wish I had known about Bob's Red Mill's bean soup seasoning years ago, I would have had many more delicious bean meals.
The mixture is complex, balanced, and delightful but be aware that the red pepper grows very spicy as the soup ages. I use half-packets now instead of whole packets, but those who love spice will probably want the entire packet.
I can imagine other uses for this spice: Texas-style chili (no beans, no tomatoes, only meat and the spice); cornbread; meatloaf; spicy potato soup; spicy corn spoonbread, fried spicy potato patties, breading for fish and chicken, in beef and pork mardinade, in biscuits and other small breads, and for the adventurous, even in chocolate cake!

The spices were perfect, as soon as I opened the package I could smell the quality. The soup was really easy to make, just add chicken stock and some sort of cream. I used half and half, but next time I'm going try a low fat milk. I would recommend adding the suggested potatoes for a heartier soup. Remember to salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Serve with crusty bread and a green salad for a gourmet meal!

Economical, easy and quick, just add water...cooks in 8 minutes. As is, it is far better, and less expensive, than any hot and sour soup I have had in a restaurant or a packaged mix purchased at a supermarket, including stores which specialize in Asian products.
I have added chopped fresh garlic, cilantro, brocolli. For extra protein, have added cooked chicken OR turkey, tofu, or may drizzle in raw scrambled egg just before it is finished cooking.
Made according to package directions, it yields a gallon of soup, far more with the add ins.Please do note that this product is high in salt, which for me is no problem, as MD advised to add more water and salt to my diet.

I found corn as the first ingredient, chicken meal and chicken by products as the first on the list. I found this food and was impressed by the types of whole meats that are in it. I compared label after label of the $ dog food to this. It is pretty much the same. I compared it to Innova amd Merrick etc. I am so impressed with the results. My Puppies stool is nice and formed and there's alot less of it too. It seems that his body is using much more out of this food intead of passing it. Also, he eats this dry wothout a problem. I used to have to add a wet food to his "grocery store" food.

There's lots of corn and the corn is really crisp and fresh tasting while the whole soup has a mild but delicious flavor. It's not overloaded with vegetables like a stew would be but, for me, that adds to the desirability of it. Being organic and low in salt is an added bonus of Amy's soups. As with all the organic soups, they are quite expensive but when on special sale, I found this soup to be well worth the money. I highly recommend this soup to everyone.
